CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT SETTLEMENT, $2,500,000
Lump sum award of $2.5M for an employee working on the construction site of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. Our client, a 43 year-old Brooklyn resident, fell 15 feet through an unsecured plywood floor and sustained fractured vertebrae in his back which required remedial surgery. The case was settled after we obtained summary judgement in his favor pursuant to the New York State Labor Law Section 240
which protects workers from height-related risks at construction sites.
